Similar to Wanua Adventure, Leong The Explore is one of the long-standing operators offering trips from Lombok to Komodo Island and vice versa. With years of operation in the region, the company remains an option for travelers seeking a more budget-friendly sailing experience.
However, Leong The Explore currently holds a lower rating compared to other operators, scoring around 3.3 on Google Maps. For this reason, we highly recommend that travelers carefully check the reviews on Google Maps before making a reservation, as these provide valuable insights from previous guests.
That said, based on observations from the Kompass Komodo field team, many travelers still report positive experiences with Leong The Explore. Most complaints tend to come from guests who received incomplete—or in some cases misleading—information from the travel agents through whom they booked the trip, rather than from the operator itself.
With the right expectations and accurate information, Leong The Explore can still be a suitable choice for travelers looking for an affordable sailing option while enjoying an adventurous journey across the Komodo route.
