Leong The Explore

Company Profile

Similar to Wanua Adventure, Leong The Explore is one of the long-standing operators offering trips from Lombok to Komodo Island and vice versa. With years of operation in the region, the company remains an option for travelers seeking a more budget-friendly sailing experience.

However, Leong The Explore currently holds a lower rating compared to other operators, scoring around 3.3 on Google Maps. For this reason, we highly recommend that travelers carefully check the reviews on Google Maps before making a reservation, as these provide valuable insights from previous guests.

That said, based on observations from the Kompass Komodo field team, many travelers still report positive experiences with Leong The Explore. Most complaints tend to come from guests who received incomplete—or in some cases misleading—information from the travel agents through whom they booked the trip, rather than from the operator itself.

With the right expectations and accurate information, Leong The Explore can still be a suitable choice for travelers looking for an affordable sailing option while enjoying an adventurous journey across the Komodo route.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure from Lombok & Kenawa Island

Your journey begins at our meeting point in Bangsal, Pemenang (RM Bangsal Indah).
After gathering with the group, we continue with a scenic three-hour transfer to Kayangan Harbor, where the Fajar Fadila Cruise will be ready to welcome you on board.

From here, we set sail toward Kenawa Island, a peaceful destination known for its soft white-sand beach and panoramic hilltop view. Spend the afternoon snorkeling in clear, calm waters, then enjoy a gentle hike up Kenawa Hill to watch a beautiful sunset over the horizon.

Wake up to a calm morning at sea as the boat cruises toward Saleh Bay, one of the few places in Indonesia where you may have the chance to swim with whale sharks in their natural habitat. This experience is truly memorable and often becomes the highlight of the trip.

After spending time with these gentle giants, the journey continues to Tambora Beach, a quiet coastal spot perfect for relaxing or enjoying another round of snorkeling among colorful reefs.

Begin the day with a sunrise trek on Laba Island, offering a peaceful lookout point with incredible ocean scenery.
We then continue to Manta Point, home to elegant manta rays and some of the region’s most impressive underwater landscapes. Enjoy snorkeling and observing these graceful creatures as they glide effortlessly through the water.

Next, we visit Komodo National Park for a guided walk to see the Komodo dragons, one of Earth’s most unique and rare wildlife species.
After the trek, relax at Pink Beach, famous for its soft pink sand and crystal-clear water.

In the afternoon, the boat heads toward Padar Island, where you will enjoy a sunset hike to one of Indonesia’s most iconic viewpoints.

Your final morning begins at Manjarite Beach, a popular snorkeling spot known for its calm water and friendly sea turtles.
We then continue to Kelor Island, where you can snorkel, relax on the beach, or enjoy a short hike to the top of the hillside for a beautiful view of the surrounding islands. If you’re lucky, you may also spot small reef sharks swimming in the shallows.

After enjoying the island, return to the boat for lunch before we make our final cruise toward Labuan Bajo, marking the end of your unforgettable Komodo sailing experience with Fajar Fadila Cruise.
